About Seatline
Seatline is run by Seatline, [registered address: to be confirmed]. Contact us at support@seatline.uk.
Seatline is an independent booking service. We are not part of, affiliated with or endorsed by Vue Entertainment. "Vue" and film names belong to their owners and are used only to describe the cinemas and films we book for you.
How it works
- You choose a showing and seats and ask for a quote. The price shown at that point is an estimate, not an offer.
- We send you a quote in your private chat. A new quote replaces any earlier one.
- If you accept the quote, you pay by PayPal using the details shown in the chat, then tell us there once you've paid so we can check it.
- Our contract with you starts when we confirm in the chat that your payment has arrived. We then book your seats at Vue on your behalf and confirm the booking in the chat. We also email you when there is a reply or an update waiting, with a link back to your chat. The chat itself is the record of what was agreed.
Prices and payment
- Quotes are in pounds sterling or euros, depending on the cinema.
- A payment counts only once we have checked that it has arrived. Please do not send money before accepting a quote.
- Giving a false payment reference, or reversing a payment after we have booked your seats, is a breach of these terms.
If we can't book your seats
Seats are not reserved until we book them at Vue. If your seats or showing are no longer available, we will offer alternatives in the chat. If you don't want them, we refund what you paid in full, by the method you paid with.
Cancelling
Because tickets are for a specific date and time, the 14-day cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply. [To confirm: this position with a legal adviser]
[To confirm: the policy for cancelling before seats are booked, and after]
At the cinema
Vue's own terms and admission policies apply to your visit, including age ratings and ID checks. [To confirm: what happens if a customer is refused entry, and if Vue cancels or moves the showing]
Using this website
Please don't misuse the site or the chat. This includes abusive messages, automated requests, attempts to break or overload the service, and false requests or payment claims. We may close a request or decline to deal with anyone who does these things.
Content and trademarks
The design and text of this website belong to us. Film titles, posters and the Vue name and marks belong to their respective owners.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when you placed the order. [To confirm: these limits with a legal adviser]
Complaints
If something goes wrong, tell us in your chat or at support@seatline.uk and we will try to put it right.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of [governing law (for example England and Wales): to be confirmed]. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
